Studios

Based at the Fiminco Foundation in Romainville, the dance studios of the Compagnie Blanca Li are part of a space dedicated to art and artists, where creation and transmission are the main concerns.

Our work space includes two dance studios as a production space for the creation of future projects, and for rehearsals of touring shows. Close to the size of a theatre stage, with high ceilings and plenty of light, they are perfectly suited to dance, but also to theatre and music… Equipped with changing rooms with showers, offices and a company kitchen, the structure is complete and offers a coherent whole at the service of live performance.

Easily accessible via metro line 5 (Bobigny-Pantin-Raymond Queneau stop) or by bicycle along the Canal de l’Ourcq, Blanca Li created her latest piece there, staging Henry Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas with six dancers from her company and William Christie’s Arts Florissants musical ensemble. The immersive virtual reality experience, Le Bal de Paris de Blanca Li – on tour in Europe since November 2021, worldwide since January 2023 – has taken up residence in Romainville, to continue the full-scale tests and the necessary research for the ongoing technological evolution.

The doors of the studios are also open to other artists (theatre, opera, dance, circus, photographers…) who wish to benefit from a fully equipped space at the gateway to Paris. The studios welcome other creators whatever their needs, from a few days to several months, with in particular a 24-hour lock-out formula: it will be possible to use the spaces over the long term, leave sets and costumes on the premises and appropriate the space in order to create future productions in ideal conditions.
